AKU MBBS Admission Solution: A Plan Built Around the Sample Paper
Synopsis
A plan for AKU MBBS admission: read the Admission Information booklet, take the sample test paper cold, fix your weakest areas with AKU's practice resources, and work back from a mid-May deadline. Last checked 16 October 2026.
The Solution
AKU MBBS solution: start with what AKU publishes
Last checked: 16 October 2026. Read the AKU MBBS admission challenge first. AKU’s 2026-27 application deadline was 13 May 2026, and the 2027-28 dates are not published yet. This plan works back from a similar spring deadline, which you must confirm on aku.edu.
Step 1: read the booklet (this week)
Download the Admission Information booklet from AKU’s MBBS page. Note the eligibility rules for your education system, the application steps, the test arrangements, and the rules on whether you also need MDCAT and how many times you may apply. Write the answers on one page.
Step 2: take the sample paper cold
AKU links a sample test paper from its MBBS page. Sit it under timed conditions before you study anything new. Your score and your mistakes show where to start, and they tell you what format you are really preparing for.
Step 3: use the practice resources
The MBBS page also links practice resources. Work through them after the sample paper, and note any question type you have not seen before. Practise those types until they feel normal.
Step 4: build a schedule that ends before the deadline
Count back from the likely application deadline in May and from your FSc exam dates. Put in three blocks: concept building in your weakest areas, timed practice, and a final revision block. Keep FSc marks strong the whole time, because admission is merit-based and your academic record counts.
Step 5: plan the application
Prepare your documents early. If you need financial assistance, read AKU’s financial assistance page, which is linked from the MBBS page, and note any separate steps or dates.
Common mistakes
Waiting for results before starting. Ignoring the sample paper. Treating a third-party guide as the rulebook. Assuming MDCAT preparation is enough without checking AKU’s own format.
