It is a practical time management system for students who feel constantly behind, covering time blocking, the Pomodoro Technique, Parkinson’s Law and a weekly planning habit.
Chapter 1: You Have Enough Time; You Just Haven’t Decided How to Use It
Almost every student who feels behind describes the problem the same way: not enough hours in the day. But everyone gets the same twenty-four hours, including the classmate who somehow finishes assignments early and still has time to play cricket in the evening.
The real difference usually isn’t time. It’s decisions, and specifically the number of decisions you’re making about how to spend your time, over and over, all day long. Should I start homework now or in twenty minutes? Which subject first? Do I have time for this before dinner? Each of those questions costs mental energy to answer, and by the time you’ve asked yourself the fifth or sixth version of it, you’re too tired to actually start working.
A good time management system doesn’t create more hours. It removes the need to keep deciding. Once you’ve built a plan, the plan makes the decision for you, and all that’s left is to follow it.
