The Challenge
HSSC second annual 2026: dates, forms and rules
Last checked: 16 October 2026. The Punjab dates below come from ProPakistani’s report of the BISE Faisalabad date sheet (25 September 2026). I could not open the boards’ own notices, and I could not find FBISE’s own HSSC second annual date sheet, so confirm every date with your board before you act.
Punjab boards: the dates
| Item | Date |
|---|---|
| Single-fee forms | 24 September to 6 October 2026 |
| Double-fee forms | 7 to 13 October 2026 |
| Triple-fee forms | 14 to 17 October 2026 |
| Papers begin | 3 November 2026 |
| Result (tentative) | 12 January 2027 |
The exam covers Intermediate Part I and Part II. If you have not submitted your form, the triple-fee window closes tomorrow, so contact your institution or board today. Boards can extend deadlines, but do not plan around that.
If you are not in Punjab
Every board sets its own second annual schedule. FBISE and the other provincial boards publish theirs on their own websites, and the dates and fees will not match the Punjab table above.
Who sits this exam
Students who failed one or more subjects and want to clear them, and students who want to improve their marks. The rules for improvement, such as how many subjects you may reappear in and which result counts, differ between boards, so read your board’s rules before you pay.
Why it matters for admission
Your FSc marks count in university merit. MDCAT merit, for example, gives 40% weight to FSc (see the MDCAT challenge). Whether an improved result is accepted depends on the university or college you apply to, so check its admission notice first.
Why it is hard
- Very little time. From today to 3 November is 18 days.
- Short deadlines. Each fee stage closes on a hard date, and the cost rises at every stage.
- Entry-test pressure. Many students are preparing for MDCAT or ECAT at the same time.
Common mistakes
Missing the form deadline. Never checking the roll number slip. Giving every subject equal time instead of starting with the ones that decide your result. Practising without a timer.
